Hand to hand sticking - R - L - R - L
Routine:
- Play H.H. - count the Pulse 1 - 2 | 2 - 2
- Play H.H. - sing the Bass Drum line
- Play the complete rhythm - sing the Bass Drum
- Play B.D. - sing / count the Pulse
- Play B.D. - sing the H.H. Accents
- Play the complete rhythm - sing the H.H. Accents
- Play the complete rhythm - count the Pulse 1 - 2 | 2 - 2
- Play the complete rhythm - Sing a Tune - eg St. Thomas
Points to Remember:
- Balance the internal voicings
- Think groove
- Listen to your sound
- Articulation
- Feel the rhythm in 2 not in 4
- Don't forget the tune!
