Apitos, one of the most exciting Latin American ensembles in the UK for the past 18 years, has expanded from an eleven piece to a nineteen piece band to perform the music of Tito Puente and other great Latin American composers.
The band features a full brass section of 4 trumpets, 5 saxes, 4 trombones plus a rhythm section, performing tight, dynamic section work in addition to several experienced exciting soloists.
The legendary Tito Puente big band of the fifties, as featured at the 'Palladium New York' provides Apitos the Big Un' with a wealth of material and rhythms which are played with the same precision and energy as they were originally performed by the great Latin American masters.
